Olimpija had the first real opportunity in 13′ at the final classical derby in front of almost 10.000 fans when \u0110or\u0111e Crnomarkovi\u0107 missed a header after a corner kick. In 22′ the guests mounted a counterattack, stopped by Matev\u017e Vidov\u0161ek. The game continued at a steady pace with no real opportunities or shots at the goal. Timi Max El\u0161nik shot toward the goal in the last minute of the first half, but the goalkeeper of the visiting team was ready for it.<\/p>\n
The second half was quite peaceful again. The teams took no major risks. Maribor had an opportunity in 58′ on a shot by Ivan Brni\u0107, but Vidov\u0161ek stopped it. The game had to be temporarily paused in 60′ because the fans of the visiting team were throwing fireworks and chairs down to the pitch. Towards the end of the game, David Sualehe blocked \u017dan Vipotnik’s shot 85′. In 90′ + 1 the Violets had a penalty kick after a foul by Vidov\u0161ek. The penalty shot was taken by Marko Toli\u0107, who tried a panenka, but this was short work for the Dragons’ goalkeeper who effortlessly caught the ball. The regular part of the match therefore ended with 0-0.<\/p>\n
Olimpija had taken the lead in 113′! Justas Lasickas got to the ball in Maribor’s penalty area and managed to beat A\u017ebe Jug from approximately 13 meters. Nemanja Mitrovi\u0107 from Maribor tied the score just a minute later. The referee again awarded a penalty shot in the extra time! After watching the video, he called a foul on Admir Bristri\u0107 in Mariboror’s penalty area. Z Timi Max El\u0161nik took the shot for the Dragons and won the game as captain.
